Nolinski Venezia, timeless luxury in the Serenissima

The Serenissima is home to a new luxury hotel just a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco. The Nolinski Venezia has given a new lease of life to the former Stock Exchange of the City of the Doges, and The Good Life has set out to discover it.

The new Nolinski Venezia hotel has just opened its doors, offering travellers a timeless experience in the heart of the City of the Doges. Nestled in a lovingly restored Venetian palazzo, the second hotel in the collection combines timeless charm with modern luxury.

Each room has its own charm

Of the 43 rooms (from 20 to 82 m²), including 13 suites, no two are exactly alike in terms of architecture and space. "The Italian industrial design of the 50s and 60s, imbued with modularity and versatility, inspired us to find solutions to building-related problems", explain the interior design duo Le Coadic & Scotto. In some cases, the bathroom is even huge! In others, it's the living room that takes centre stage. One of the bedrooms, unique in its kind, has no living area, but does have an XL terrace with a view over the rooftops of Venice and Piazza San Marco.

Headboards in stucco marbro, doors clad in gilded metal, grey marmorino and mango panelling and frames are the common denominator of each bedroom space. Italian Art Deco furniture sits alongside inlaid blown glass lanterns and red and powder pink velvet armchairs and sofas. A careful selection of books, Venetian handicrafts by Avem - a former Murano glassworks founded in 1932 that ceased production in the 1970s and is now in the process of relaunching - and works of art selected by gallery owner Amélie Du Chalard complete the picture.
