VESNA VRDOLJAK, SURREALIST ASSEMBLY
Half-Croatian, half-Dutch, Vesna Vrdoljak first studied cinema in Amsterdam, where she was fascinated by Jim Jarmusch, Andreï Tarkovski and David Lynch. In 2012, she started to create collages based on her inspiration and what she could find: postcards, vintage magazines, old books found in the street or at antique shops. Encouraged by a photographer's agent who detects a singular look in her, she deepens her practice, playing with scales and textures, zooming in on a part in order to make visible a grain, a defect. "I like this balance between perfection and imperfection, the combination of a curved landscape and the straightness of a graphic form. The result: surreal compositions that deal with aesthetics and escape, and that divert our familiar representations to infuse them with mystery.

STUDIOPEPE, PURE FORMS
This multidisciplinary Milanese duo, founded in 2006 by Arianna Lelli Mami (left) and Chiara Di Pinto, needs no introduction in the world of design and architecture. Their more recent plastic work explores the meeting of form and material. Inspired by a wide range of artists, from Alberto Giacometti to Isamu Noguchi, including Arte Povera and Lucio Fontana, these two experimenters have invented their own alphabet. Here, they bring together the geometry of Indian paper, rough and thick, with the curves of free figures, whose colours overlap and interact with the support. a nimble four-handed work.

VICTOR CADENE, INTERIOR DESIGNER
Self-taught and passionate about colour, Victor Cadene has seduced the world of decoration with his meticulous and enchanting collages. We discover, as if projected in elegant doll's houses, interiors crossed by the history of decorative styles that the artist mixes as he pleases. Gaudí crossed paths with the Nabis, while the Flandrin brothers, who created the decorations for the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church, conversed with the set designer and costume creator Christian Bérard. Spotted by Hermès, who commissioned him to design window displays in 2018, the young virtuoso is multiplying his collaborations with Diptyque, the carpet manufacturer Pinton and the Mériguet-Carrère workshop. His projects? To open a place for artists' residencies near Fontainebleau and to propose decorative panels showing his world in large format. Fiery.

THOMAS DHELLEMMES, HAPPINESS ON THE RUN
He sees photography as an art of slowness, going against the grain of the times. After studying applied arts, Thomas Dhellemmes made an initiatory stay in Cape Verde which, in addition to a meeting with the singer Cesaria Evora, led to his first exhibition at the Rencontres d'Arles in 1988. In parallel with beautiful shots linked to decoration and gastronomy - he has collaborated with the greatest chefs, from Cyril Lignac to Alain Ducasse -, the son of the renowned fabric editor Quentin D'Hellemmes develops an artistic work with the Polaroid SX-70, capturing a happiness whose mystery thickens with each Thomas Dhellemmes Happiness on the run once you approach it. Bordering on abstract painting, and printed on silky paper, his misty horizons and silhouettes of women captured in a window embrasure speak of transience and the beauty of imperfection. "I like this philosophy of absence of control", comments this advocate of purity. In 2019, in the work "jour bleu", Tahar Ben Jelloun's poems will be in dialogue with his intimate photographs. a poetry of the moment.
