Beaux Arts x Chaumet

Exhibition "Végétal - L'école de la beauté", Beaux-Arts de Paris

Just a stone's throw from our gallery, the Beaux-Arts de Paris, in collaboration with Chaumet, presents the exhibition "Végétal - L'école de la beauté", at the crossroads between jewellery and the plastic arts.

The exhibition offers a revisited vision of nature through the arts and the notion of beauty throughout the ages. The curator of the exhibition, Marc Jeanson, a botanist, has conceived the scenography as a giant herbarium, presenting all forms of art that have taken an interest in the subject of nature: jewellery, sketches, drawings, paintings, furniture...

This exhibition at the crossroads of art and science was made possible thanks to the loan of more than 80 jewellery objects from jewellery houses, including Chaumet, the initiator of the project, and more than 400 works from numerous museums, foundations, galleries and private collectors such as the Natural History Museum, the Orsay and Louvre museums, the Institut de France, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Pistoia Musei, and the Museum of the Arts, and more than 400 works of art from numerous museums, foundations, galleries and private collectors such as the Natural History Museum, the Orsay and Louvre museums, the Institut de France, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Pistoia Musei, the Ecole de Nancy Museum, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, the Kunsthalle in Hamburg and the Albion Art Collection in Tokyo. ..
